Alfred Dunhill Seiki Chida Fountain Pen

Alfred Dunhill Alfred’s Clement Court had a partnership programme to create the Namiki Pen with the painter Setsuji Wada in 1930. That has made a huge collection of fine painted crafted Fountain Pen. I have seen a collection of the HKs pen Collector TK Lee. A whole box of Namiki pen in his house. And he probably has 3,000 Pens at home.

This is the masterpieces of the Master Seiki Chida. Charming, beautifully hand crafted with Sea, Turtle, sea weeds Coral Reef. There is a touching story behind this pen, a young fisherman once saved a turtle from a group of youngsters. To show the appreciation, the turtle brought him to the sea bed for a wonderful journey. Later, he felt home sick and wish to go back to the land. Before he said good bye to the turtle, a Princess gave him a mysterious box, she reminded him not to open the box. After he went home, he found out that he left home for a few hundred years already. Sad to hear all family members and friend were all gone. To his despair, he opened the box…immediately he was converted into an old man. He heard the whispering voice of the princess from the sea. “ I told you already, do not open it!

It take 6 month to make a such like this. With certain epoxy applying on the pen, lightly spatter some fine silver or gold powder on top of it before the epoxy is dried.

This is oldest tradition for such kind of painting on the fountain pen, total 25 pieces, individually numbers, Signed by Seiki Chida. The nib is 18KT gold!

Body is made with Titanium, but I think it is still a bit heavy.... Round off ends like a trepedo. with a twist, the the 14Kt Gold nib will be protruded...The pen is good for writing, it is amgzingly flexible.
I prefer fine nib, but they have M size only...
It will be carried in my pocket for a while!

Lamy Dialog3

The new LAMY dialog 3 is a revolutionary fountain without a cap. Thanks to a fascinating twist mechanism the nib slides elegantly out of the interior of the barrel, while the clip retracts onto the shell. The twist-action fountain pen is then ready to write. When the fountain pen is twisted closed a ball valve automatically moves in front of the opening and protects the retracted nib from drying out and getting dirty. The clip lifts up and the fountain pen can be clipped into a pocket or bag.

Twist-action fountain pen in palladium finish. With cartridge filling system with ink cartridge LAMY T 10 blue, converter Z 26 and pen case made of beech. With full retractable 14 Kt bi-colour gold nib, anodized. Available nib grades: extra fine (EF) / fine (F) / medium (M) / broad (B) / oblique, medium (OM) / oblique, broad (OB).

Designer: Franco Clivio

This is a nice looking pen and sad to hear that only 20 pieces is available in the Hong Kong Market! I am looking for it in the Pen Shops. Price is Approximatly HKD$2,500.00

This Lamy may have a high ink volume than the Pilot Decimo.
